MONTEREY GARDENS

Monterey Gardens is a revitalization and extension of Downtown Monterey. This multi-use development centers around a public plaza featuring diverse water features, plantings and outdoor seating. Old business storefronts are reimagined into a bustling hospitality hub featuring a high end restaurant, brewery, sandwich joint, cafe and even a Bourbon speakeasy.

 

The backdrop of the plaza is a new multi-family housing community, clad with split-face stone slabs and oxidized bronze panels. These dwellings look out over historic Old Monterey and beyond to the ocean’s horizon.
